DS (AS 200 at very large det) received EA today. Bloodbath as mentioned by another writter is a good description. His joy is tempered by good friends including a roommate who did not make cut. My heart and prayers go out to students wondering what's next. May a door open, where one has closed!

Has anyone heard of the USNA contacting a US senator to grant a nomination to a candidate (same state) who apparently has a competitive application but did not receive one? Especially this late in the game? The candidate did receive noms for other SAs but not the USNA.

DS also rec'd TWE on 4/18 and now headed for ERAU & AFROTC, also a presidential scholar, Aerospace Engineering. Visited the campus for the first time on 3/30 preview day and loved it; DS is also positive and ready to give it his all. They are where they're supposed to be--plan B rocks :) Go...

If under 18, go to local post office with both parents, school ID, and birth certificate and get a passport card. Costs $45, takes about 3 weeks to get it and is official for travel in North America and verification of US citizenship for employment.

May I ask how you submitted the note from your surgeon? Did you submit it through your USAFA portal or to the DODMERB? Thanks in advance for your help!

He did not self diagnose, simply entered "dry hands during the winter", ie, TMI. The DodMerb flagged it as eczema and in need of a waiver. I have a letter from his doctor stating he doesn't have eczema or any other skin conditions, nor has he ever been treated for any, but I dont know where to...

My DS was over zealous in completing his DoDMerb forms and his described "dry hands in the winter" was translated to eczema and he was thrust into the DQ waiver process. He has never had nor has he ever been treated for ANY skin conditions including eczema. Found this older thread below...does...

Two applicants from my DS CAP squadron rec'd TWEs back in January. These are MN kids. So far I've seen only 1 MN appt on this forum.

My DS stated he rec'd a notice in his portal yesterday stating he was getting a letter from the DOD that he needed to sign? He has been very tight lipped about the entire application process otherwise, is this the TWE, or possibly something else? He has a MOC nomination, not sure what else there...
