    What the HELL...

I second this suggestion. While your previous experiences with your battalion may have been poor, I would suggest dealing with your MS1 instructor (in person), or someone further up your chain-of-command (again, in person). Venting online, especially when speaking specifics, will never help you...

NROTC scholarship & Transferring to a different University

Not necessarily in the middle of my sophomore year, just transfer and attend another university for my junior and senior year (so apply during my sophomore year). However, I'm in a precarious situation; it will be my first year of NROTC and I don't want to go in (or be seen) as the guy who...

NROTC scholarship & Transferring to a different University

I apologize, but let me clarify. Suppose I am a midshipman at university A. However, I wish to transfer to university B during my sophomore year (and attend university B for my junior and senior years). Can I do this? My NROTC packet has the same transfer of university paperwork, but can you...

    Tier 3 Scholarship chances?

15% is the number I've heard; however it is possible - I'm a living testament to that. I've received a Tier 3 NROTC scholarship this year. I'm sure expressing some interest in majoring in a specific language will help, but I'm not sure how much help it will have.

    Question about scholarships

I think the only way you can apply for a NROTC scholarship now is through the College Program. I believe the rule for applying for a 4yr NROTC scholarship (like a HS student) is you can't have completed 30 units by the time of your application. As a freshman you may have already surpassed 30...

Bad scoop - Accepted Norwich, but Quota full

I can't say this will work everytime but I would recommend calling/emailing NROTC admission in Pensacola. If you push enough/ask around/talk to the right people/demonstrate your desire to do NROTC they might bend the rules. I was in a similar situation earlier this year and they let me did this...

    red/green deficiency dq?

I was in a similar situation last year when I was applying for the SAs and ROTC. However, as far as I know, I believe it is just in NROTC, USNA, and USCGA where a Red/Green Color deficiency is an immediate disqualification.
