    So did I, but I will tell you that things have changed. 5 weeks of pledgeship, no pledge exam; my sons chapter has a super strict academic code, any cummulative GPA below a 2.9 and your on social probation. In my day, the whole house (77 dudes) 50 % would have been on probation.

    My son moved in the house right away and thank goodness he did. He loves it and it is his new home; he would not have adjusted as well living in the dorms. Not sure where your son is looking at but he is a legacy and that seriously counts; plus Im sure he wants to be a cool dude and do dude things with his bro's.

    Good luck with both the USNA and NROTC. With this economy and the benefits and training the military can provide, its a no brainer. Best of luck to your son with the USNA,, hope he gets an appointment. Talk soon, Pat
