TWE update for my DD. God has other plans for her this year. I'm proud of her for making it this far and putting in so much effort. Good luck to all the rest waiting to hear back!

Did you show interest first, or did the RC come to you with the idea of civil prep? My DD didn't start the application process until Oct. 25th, so I believe that has hurt her quite a bit. She wasn't 3Q'd until mid January.

Thanks! That is a good idea. I'll have her do that tonight. She emailed him a week and a half a go about where she stood. He just said that she was waiting for a spot to come open (enough candidates to decline, I guess) and that she wouldn't likely know for 2-4 weeks.

Congrats to both of your girls. I love that your girls are so thrilled with this great opportunity! My DD would be thrilled if she was the offered AOG civil prep opportunity. We live within a few hours of MMI and I've only heard great things about that school.

Congrats to your DD!!! My DD is still waiting.....no mention of AOG, but we maintain hope for some good news.

You still have a shot until the TWE comes. My DD is still waiting. She has a 4.0 unweighted GPA, top 3% in her class with a 32 ACT and two year captain of the varsity soccer team. The wait is stressful on everyone. I do feel your pain!

Thank you for the update! My DD is anxiously waiting to see what her future holds. Most of these candidates waiting are most likely students that like to have things planned and in order. Not knowing where they will be in three months and four days is very nerve racking!

Congrats!! How did you find out?

Our RC said that it was harder to get accepted to SLE than into West Point. Don't be discouraged, keep working hard. Retake the ACT or SAT as much as possible to increase your scores. If you really want the appointment, then give it your best shot. Give 100% in all that you do.

RC did accept a PDF copy of her February ACT. We just had to email admissions and copy her RC. Just in case anyone else happened to be wondering.

DD took the ACT with writing in February and increased her English score by two points. Since she took the writing portion, test results could be delayed. Will USMA count this ACT score if it happens to reach USMA after 2/28/17? I didn't know if anyone else has talked to their RC about this...

Interesting. So, if a congressman has 2 open slots he has 20 available nominations. Does he pick which 10 candidates are on each slate? I was thinking that all 20 would be competing against each other instead of only 10 per slate competing against each other.
