I'm a double major with a double minor; however, my majors are closely related. Comp Sci, Econ, and a language minor would be extremely difficult if not impossible.
I am a double major with a double minor. It is certainly doable. It is truly all about time management. If you can handle the course load and airmanship stuff in that respect then you can certainly do it all.
Eating and other things
I hope the eating thing was a joke. Basics will not be starved and it's probably best to leave the boots behind at home. Every squad is a little different, but most will make you wear issued boots anyway through BCT and some will carry that through until recognition.
Compression Shorts
So long as the shorts are conservative it shouldn't matter (Close to black or white, just not something like red or green). Just make sure they don't extend beyond your shorts. Some cadre have been know to yell about this. Even that for the most part won't be a problem though.
stuff to bring
BRING COMPRESSION SHORTS!!! As has been said. Color doesn't matter so long as you use common sense. Also, bring smaller containers of toiletries. You will go to the C-Store, but not for at least a few days. Don't be the kid who gets yelled at for not having enough stuff to last...
gold prop and wings
Class of 2016 was told differently. We were told for Gold: You will be awarded the gold prop and wing if any member of you direct ancestry has served in the USAF or the Army Air Corps.
Intramurals
1. Club sports usually have LOS status which is limited on season.
2.Depends on the intramural. As a freshman you probably won't get one of the more popular intramurals.
3. Depends on the sport, but as a general rule they are pretty competitive.
4. It is hard to do because of LOS...
Facebook Page
Do what you will with the page, but the cadre will have a field day with it no matter what. That's a promise. At the very least make the page private.
Sabre Vs Honor Guard
Not to be biased or whatnot, but I am currently a sabre drill team candidate which means that I am a freshman and sabre drill is way better than honor guard in a lot of ways. We are an extremely close knit group and the comradery is incredible. If you have any questions...
Teams
There are basically two teams. The sabre drill team and honor guard. Honor guard does some sabre stuff when the sabre drill team is unavailable but not very much. There is a rifle team, but it is not drill.
