    Uniform Doesn't Fit

My critical input to all of this is to note that the garment native to Hawaii is the muumuu. I know this is the most critical part of the discussion. (Enjoying my retirement 😎 )

joining any rotc unit w/ dq

So if I understand the crux of your question.....you have several medical issues that you believe are currently a dq but there is one or maybe more that you think would resolve themselves in a year. Speaking from the NROTC standpoint, your medical history won't change that much in a year. If...

joining any rotc unit w/ dq

What will help facilitate the discussion is which branch are you most interested in? Have you already submitted your medical information to DoDMERB? Did they already say you did not meet certain standards? From there it would be easier to figure your best path available.

    OHARP

Separate issue for you to nail down. Who will be writing your initial fit report if you go O-HARP. Your nuke school will expect that a fireplace has been written. Not all of the units understand this, so make sure you have that well under control.

    MSISR Scholarship

Not at all. It just means you have not been denied a 4 year scholarship at this point. And from my view of things, I think you would be competitive for the MSI if it came down to that particular board.

    MSISR Scholarship

If you have not heard anything regarding the national 4 year scholarship, then you could still be on the alternate list. There is still hope for that. Then there is an MSI board next month and you would go in front of that board regardless of the 4 year national board results. Sometimes, the...

Scholarship transfer taking a REALLY long time to be approved

The unit gets informed about the transfer, but the approval comes from Naval Service Training Command. You can resubmit the form to the email address which was used for the initial scholarship notification just to make sure the form was received.

4 -Year NROTC Scholarship Thread - Class of 2028

So, just to be clear, I am retired. And I don't have the access that I used to. Cause I'm retired. So, anywhoo, a messenger pigeon just flew in to tell me that the Admiral just finished being briefed, and the system is moving along. There are a few more steps to be done....then someonegets...

Summer options for NROTC college programmers?

All the prep work happens in the spring. Then the sideloads are done once the current scholarship season closes out. Sorry for the confusion. The results won't come out until the summer. Technically the NSI results do not weigh against the sideloads. But if we have no shows and drops for...

Summer options for NROTC college programmers?

It's important to note that sideload scholarships for Navy options are handled by NSTC directly. MARINE options have a separate sideload application process and the results are reported back to NSTC. So the criteria are slightly different. For Navy options, the most important criteria are...

    NROTC March list???

Results should be out by the middle of this week. There are only a few boards left for this year.

    NROTC Prep Scholarship at Norwich

A couple things to consider here. There is a 4 year scholarship board that will be reporting out this week or early next week. You can see if you get selected for that board and then decide. Next, you mentioned a normal NROTC compared to the Prep scholarship. Norwich is a normal NROTC unit...

    Applying to NROTC Late

More than likely you will not get in front of a board until later this month or the April board. When you say you had a ton of mistakes.....is that 3, 5, 20......or? How did your interview go? If your package appears that you hurried it along, that may not bode well for you.
