    question about non-scholarship AROTC

Hi everyone! I understand that the scholarship's commitment for Active Duty is 4 years and the non-scholarship's commitment is 3 years. What if you go National Guard though? Is there a different commitment level there also? Also, If you do go National Guard, do you get the GI Bill to get your...

AROTC question (full-time on last semester?)

Thanks for the advice. I'm coming in as an MSIII this year and I will be doing my contract soon. I just figured out how to make myself full-time a little while ago but thanks anyways! I'm a Japanese major already so I think taking another foreign language wouldn't really help in the CLIP department.

AROTC question (full-time on last semester?)

I was just wondering if you have to take a full-time 12hr credit semester load on your last semester of Army Rotc? Since I would have my degree requirements complete with under 12hrs by then, do I still need to enroll in enough classes to be enrolled full-time?

    Lasik Enhancement ok?

gotcha... i was considering waiting until after i graduated as I have heard it is easier to get surgery after you get your commission.

    Lasik Enhancement ok?

Hi, I have had my DODMERB approved already and I'm currently in Rotc. I had Lasik surgery on my eyes about 6 years ago. I have been considering getting an enhancement on my right eye recently. Would getting the enhancement disqualify me? Thanks for all the help.

    New to ROTC...

tell him to take a light class load on Spring semester of AS200 or he will regret it! He might as well start memorizing the Drill & Ceremonies book right now too. Best advice I could give someone who wants to do AFROTC.

    SMP/other commisioning

You absolutely can commission Active Duty with SMP! The SMP program is open to people with 2 years remaining in Army ROTC from my knowledge though.

    Concerned about AFROTC Enrollment Allocation

The paying for school part is easy if you don't get an EA. A) Go Army ROTC and even if they don't give you a scholarship, you can do their SMP program since you have completed the 1st 2 years of AFROTC already. B) Enlist in the Air Force or any other branch and complete your degree online...

    afrotc EA

looks pretty decent to me... your GPA is a little lower than mine but your ACT score kills my ******** SAT score. CGPA:3.8 PT:expecting 88-91ish (our official PFA is next week) SAT: 880 <--yeh I know >_< You hold any leadership positions? That helps too. I'm not sure of the actual...

    afrotc freeze?

in response to the foreign language major GPA, I am holding a steady 3.8GPA right now so I don't feel like I have a problem in that area... The things that do worry me are: 1. an average PFA score that should be considerably better this semester thanks to my everyday training. 2. I was told by...

    afrotc freeze?

I just meant that I am a Japanese major and it is on the Express Scholarship list. No, I haven't applied for anything.

    afrotc freeze?

Dern, I qualify to get on Express-Scholarship because I am a foreign language major. I wasn't going to contract though until I found out if I was actually getting an EA or not. The AFROTC deal looks pretty bad right now if they are taking that away. I feel like I should switch over to Army even...

    AROTC qualifications

The way I understand it is that you do have to pay for the classes at my college. Luckily, Hope Scholarship covers up to 127 credit hours in Georgia.

    AROTC qualifications

That would be awesome clarksonarmy. Unfortunately, Georgia is located nowhere near you ;). I am already DODMERB qualified so I will definitely put the Army ROTC as my backup plan.
