I know it took over a week (almost two) from when it was actually "granted" by the surgeon until it was officially "granted" and then put on DODMERB for us to see. I'll ask DH...he knows the timeline for sure. I just check the website.
The DODMERB website finally shows my son's medical waiver as granted. Six Months from date of disqualification letter...if anyone is curious of the time frame.
My DS was all ready to do ROTC at Harvard...couldn't get in. Had the grades, stats, letter of rec from ROTC Cadre...not the right demographic in my opinion. Also, from what I have read Harvard doesn't really want ROTC.
My son is from the first board and we are still waiting for news on his waiver. He did have a remedial exam for another issue and that was taken care of and approved. No waiver needed for it.
My son received his transfer this past week...he transferred from one of his originally 3 awarded schools to another one. He also went from a 200K+ scholarship award to 62K award.
There is guidance on the bottom of your award letter. Transfer requests and related documentation can be emailed or snail mailed to the appropriate cadet command address at Ft. Knox.
