Just received notification for my DS - no USMA appointment. Off to The Citadel he goes with is 4 year AROTC Scholarship! He's pretty excited and is looking forward to serving.

Thank you! As I thought about it more, I realized that would of course be the case. I've also spoken with quite a few people in our area who had been waitlisted and heard back in May that they didn't receive appointments.

They're pretty responsive via the 'contact us' link.

Question ... DS is on wait list, will he hear one way or another? We're full steam ahead on Plan B, but if by a minute chance he's offered USMA he'd take it.

Wrote letter, saved PDF of acceptance letter, submitted via email - within 2 days request approved.

Thank you - just returned from our college visiting trip and posted the question before I pulled out the paperwork.

Where are transfer requests sent to? Are they emailed or snail mailed? DS had his deadline extended to 5/4 too.

No, we were planning our trip around DS's swim meets. We visited The Citadel on the 13th and did overnight at Texas A&M on the 14th. The Citadel ended up being DS 's choice :-)

DS still waiting got 3Q 3/29. Just visited Citadel and moving forward with plans to attend, but if USMA offer comes he will go there.

I thought I read somewhere, or heard, those offered appointments have 2 weeks to decide (for those that aren't offered by 4/15)

Had he been put on the NWL prior to receiving his call?

DS still waiting ... informed last week he's on NWL ... crossing fingers but still moving forward to visit 2 colleges next week and make a decision before 5/1. If he gets an appointment, he'd definitely take it no matter when it comes in!
