+1 Email & updated portal, BGO email a few days thereafter, phone call from MOC a few days after that and lastly, BFE (about 1 1/2 weeks after first e-mail).

It's actually more than I recalled... that year (2015) Senator Lee (UT) announced 20 appointments from his noms to 3 SAs (USNA, USAFA, USMA). Even allowing for multiple nominating sources, that's pretty amazing! Anyway, NAVYCAPT93 hit the nail on the head about it not being over until the fat...

Yep! We had one year where one of our Senators announced 5 appointments to a single SA that he had nominated (they may have had additional nominating sources, of course, but still...)!

+1 There are many good resources (e.g., Kaplan) available for helping to improve your ACT and SAT scores. It's not just your aptitude or what you've learned in school; it really helps to learn "how" to take the test. Good luck!
