Just wondering if anyone else has heard something on this topic? My son is a freshman/MSI on a 3 year AROTC scholarship and they were all just told to make sure their paperwork and DodMERB stuff is all set since money is available. We're not sure if this applies to the "campus pool" for new...

Just wondering if anyone put in a request to transfer their scholarship and already heard something? I know the official notification deadline is "no later than May 5th" but curious if Cadet Command has granted or denied any requests yet.
Would you mind saying which schools they were? Just wondering if there's any validity to the alphabetical theory of which one is posted on the portal -- was your #4 school first in alpha order compared to the other three?
If you apply for a transfer to your first choice school (which is private and more expensive) and you don't get it, will you still be able to attend the original school the scholarship was for? Just want to make sure that once you request a transfer you don't lose the original scholarship...
Thanks again for the info...great to know.
One more question -- Is it true that they only look at medical records going back to age 13? I thought I read somewhere about that.
Thanks all. Very helpful. So no one knows for sure if DoDMERB contacts the physician directly for medical records?
Pima - The CD-ROM of your records, was that from your physician or from after DoDMERB? I'm just wondering if getting all the medical records now and having it scanned to have a...
I have a few questions about the exam and medical records:
When you go for your DoDMERB exam, are your medical records required at this time? Is it just the records from your pediatrician and dentist? If you went to see a specialist at some point, is this required even if not indicated in...
For those of you who received scholarships to your top choice, was this school also first in alphabetical order compared to the other schools you listed on your application? Just trying to determine if we still have hope that my son's top choice might still appear on his letter!
There's another thread going where people are posting if they got a scholarship...so I guess it's best if everyone posts there.
Go to thread:
AROTC Scholarship January Boards - Post if your status has changed
Pima -- Take a look at the thread from the October boards and you'll see that many scholarship recipients received letters with multiple schools listed and they could choose to accept for 1 of those schools. I think this info may have even been visible on the status page then...but it looks like...
My DS awarded scholarship to his 4th choice, Rutgers. It will be interesting to see if the "alphabetical theory" holds true; his other top choices begin with "U" (University of...) and "S". He got accepted to his 1st choice school so I hope the transfer option will work...although it would be...
