I feel your pain. We are in CA, 4.23 gpa, never a B in his life, top 6% of class, 4 years of football, great SAT and ACT, AP calc AB and BC, physics, chem, lots of EC's, youth football coach, intern at engineering firm bla bla bla. The kids that got in must be super kids!

At least there is finally resolution. Good luck on the Plan B I'm sure he will do great. I just checked my son's portal it's still CPR in CA.

Since ND is a private school they can get away with higher legacy numbers. But since USNA is a public school I think it would be frowned upon to "keep it in the family". Just my humble opinion.

Maybe there are more white males at the USNA because there are more white male applicants? It seems to me that if one applicant gets selected over another because of race or gender then there is a disadvantage.

Since I am not on this forum every year it is not old to me.

My son (white male) was awarded a 4 year NROTC scholarship fairly early in the cycle. I believe it was in November. I thought that since he was awarded the scholarship early he would be a more competitive candidate for the USNA. But here we sit CPR! It will work out one way or another...

Still CPR in CA-04 for us!
