USAFA is redesigning the candidate kit. You will remain in applicant status until USAFA completes the redesign. If you have submitted your PCQ for the class of 29 you should have received an email and a mentor ALO assignment on your portal. You won't hear anything about promotion to candidate...
If you had a 1 November Deadline and you have not submitted your candidate kit, your deadline has been extended to 15 Nov. No other deadlines have been extended. Check your portal for your definitive deadline.
Read the "Instructions to Candidates" in the general section. You will find information on dual citizenship there. There is also a number to call to talk to the experts.
@flieger83, mentor ALOs should be asking their mentees about their progress on thier appointee kits. Admissions has been doing weekly call outs. They have been pulling teeth.
It will likely be later this year. The appointee kits must be completed and many appointees are dragging thier feet. Squadron assignments are made using the data supplied in the appointee kits to even out the squadrons (academic quals, physical quals, related individuals, recruited athletes...
If you have not received you appointee kit it will arrive in the next couple of days. Names ending in A-I should have received it. LEAD applicants will have a longer delay due to special requirements.
The appointee kit has only been released to 5 test cases. The kit is being completely redesigned this year. Expect a release NLT 1 Apr, but hopefully by 20 Mar.
