Absolutely! My USMMA 2022 mid was the first salute for my oldest son when he commissioned in the Army in 2020.

My mid tells me that the class of 2022 has about 10 or so midshipmen going active duty Army. Your son would not be the only one. I would contact the admissions office to see if they could get you in touch with either a midshipman going Army, or the Army liaison.

Our high school only includes “major academic courses and selected electives” in the GPA. A student who takes all honors or AP classes at our school could end up with a 5.0 GPA.

It was at the pool on campus. My husband and I both attended.

The swim team met for about an hour the day before Indoc. The recruits went outside with the older midshipmen to get to know each other, and the parents stayed inside with the coach. The swimmers then met early the next morning and walked in together.
