You might be mixing him up with someone else, but he initially was asked if he would be interested in an AOG but it never came to fruition.

Our DS is a self prep at MMI and got his appointment this past Sunday. A beautiful thick packet arrived today. Very exciting!!!

The hard part is not knowing. We all thought we would of known one way or another. My DS already has his back up plan in place. He was offered a spot @ MMI's Service Academy Program. We're visiting the campus next week.

Spoke to his RC last week. Unfortunately there was no updates. We reached out to MMI and they will take my DS as a self-prep applicant if the AOG doesn't go through. MMI also told us that there are still AOG scholarships to be awarded.
