Did you apply for early decision or regular decision or did you apply twice this year? Perhaps you are confused with being deferred from early decision and you were asked to re apply for regular decision. Then they found that you were good enough to be offered for appointment and that is why...

That's strange because one of the admissions counselors told me they don't look at the waitlisted applicants until sometimes in May.

Congratulations! But my question is...How did you get wait listed then being offered of appointment 2 days later? Don't they look back on the waitlist ing applicants sometimes in May (if they have some slots tonopen for those applicants)?

That sound like it's extremely competitive to be placed out of the waiting list. It's sort of like applying to an Ivy League school.

Does anybody know the rate of applicants who were wait listed? Because the letter said they only accept 10% of wait listed applicants.

I just received my wait list letter today by mail. When do the admissions counselors send applicants their second decision? Will I hear back by the end of May?

Congratulations!!!! So I talked to the admissions and they said all applicants should be able to hear back the second week of April. So I may as well hear back by this week! I'll make another update once I receive a letter from them!

They said last year's applicants had about 47 latinos who were accepted for conditional appointment. It doesn't sound like a lot at all.

I'll give them another week then I'll go ahead and give them a call. Also quick update... I'm a latino. Will that decrease my chance of getting in? I heard admission counselors took more more white applicants last year than African Americans, Asians, etc. I also heard less than 20% applicants...
