What does the application usually look like? I would assume that it would require GPA, standardized test scores, and extracurriculars, but do I also have to send in letters of recommendation? I'd look and see, but the application doesn't open until January 8th.

How competitive are principal nominations if you live in a well populated area? Also, how competitive are alternate nominations and do the chances of getting in decrease if your an alternate?
