Hi all, Our son will be doing a semester at the USAFA this fall from USNA and I wanted to get some info/advice about what will be going on next semseter. ie, parent weekend activities, what we should look for to go to. ( We are lucky since we are in Fort Collins, just about 2 1/2 hours away...

Just as a side note, we were at the Color Parade during CW this year and watched from behind. The temperature went above 90 that morning and during the parade, we lost count after 50, the number of Mids that went down and were either help or cared off of the field. It was a little discerning...

Thanks, RGK, and yes, we are very proud of him! He is home on leave right now, but flys back Sunday for Sea Trials and Herndon. As they say 1/3 Plebe summer, 1/3 Plebe year, 1/3 the other 3 years, so 2/3 almost done :) 10 days til Herdon! Will try to watch graduation on the 28th!

Son applied to USNA USMA USAFA. He received nominations to all three and appointments to all 3 and chose USNA. He also applied for ROTC Scholorship and got that also, turned that down about 3 weeks before I-Day, just in case something happened. Soon to be "Plebe No More!"

We canceled our sons health insurance after I-Day since as said above they are covered.

Along with not using the bathroom, make sure they eat before going in. Last year, a few past out while having their blood drawn, and I guess they take a few vials. With all the excitement, and anticipation and nerves, forgetting to eat can add to it.
