    Good Signs?

Well, first off your academic records look really good, as well as your extra-curriculars. The varsity letters and leadership positions will help a lot As for your CFA, there are plenty of posts here about improving your CFA score, i suggest searching for them. West Point does have rolling...

    Recruiting for USMA

While I was looking into USMA, a cadet came into school one day and spoke to my class about his experience there and how to apply. He told me that he was a part of a recruiting company (or something of the sort, I don't exactly remember) and that he earned extra leave by going and talking to...

    CAP or Junior Firefighting?

I did both. CAP is an actual option on the application and junior firefighting is not, so I would guess that CAP weighs a bit more. Plus CAP could help you get more connections and prepare you for the academies in terms of drill and military knowledge. As for junior firefighting, I enjoyed...

Requesting a Company/Battery at the Citadel

My best friend is a knob in Palmetto Battery, with a 4-year AROTC Scholarship. PB has the most ROTC scholarships (at least for Army) and has highest GPA out of the companies last time I checked. They lead most of the drill and ceremony things for the Citadel (firing the cannons at football...

    Citadel Overnight and CSI Summer

I live next to the Citadel, and my best friend did CSI. He said the biggest benefits from it are that you can knock a class or two out of the way before school starts and that you get to learn a lot of the knob knowledge in a less stressful environment, which makes a world of a difference...

A message for those of you thinking about dropping out or turning down appointment

Do you mind if I post this to the C/O 2018 page? This story is definitely relevant to my life right now and I feel like it would be to others, too. Thank you so much for sharing!

    The Beast

There was something about retainers in the admit kit on the portal, if I remember correctly it said that you had to tell em if you needed a retainer, but I'm not sure

    Anybody receive appointment from MN08?

Ask his FFR if he is qualified. That was my issue. My FFR told me I was qualified but he didn't know why it hasn't shown up on my file yet. And about an hour after they told me I was qualified, I was appointed

    Airborne and Air Assault

So all you need to go is competitive grades and standing in your company? I was told in AROTC there was something like a 12 mile ruck march, is it the same at USMA?

    Airborne and Air Assault

So I would have better luck of doing Air Assault as a cadet and Airborne as an officer?

    Airborne and Air Assault

    That's not a goal but a standard!
