    Blue and Gold Officer Interview

I wore a nice, modest dress but it was not super formal. My BGO wore khakis and a USNA polo. I am no expert in the men's fashion department, but I would say it is always better to over dress than under. With that being said, he can probably wear khakis with a button down and tie (can any men in...

Proceed to open Navy Federal account?

Yes, it took some time for me as well to figure out how to open my account! He will need to find his access number, which you can do by googling "find Navy federal access number" and it will take you to a page to plug in some personal info. Plug it in and it will give you your access number...

Proceed to open Navy Federal account?

If transfer some of my savings into my NFCU account, can I begin to use the card before I Day? Or should I not use it for personal use yet? Thank you!

    NASS Question

Agreed with @MidCakePa that the CFA at NASS is a great way to just get your bench mark and you will have a good portion of the summer to really train the areas of improvement. I just trained for the CFA leading up to NASS and I did not encounter any issues with fitness. One thing I can recommend...

    NASS experience question

Definitely go in with an open mind. USNA may also be a another great option for you! It will definitely give you the experience of getting up to detailers yelling, morning PT, obstacle training, etc. Overall, it will give you an idea if a service academy/military is for you. Good luck!

    NASS - 1 recommendation

Agreed with SA2023. I was happy with my score, but I ended up retaking it mainly due to running with so many kids on the track. My time was almost 50 seconds less the second time and I got a much better sleep the night before and was able to increase all of my scores. Getting out of the way is...

    Application portal 2020?

They come out at different times. Some summer seminar kids did not even receive theirs until mid to end of June. It comes through email, so just pay attention to your inbox throughout the next few weeks. Be patient, and good luck!

    Permit to Report Package

I thought I would let you all know that the sponsor questionnaire is all the way at the bottom of the CIS portal (super easy to miss!), right below your BGO contact information.

    Clothing At NASS

You will not need any other clothes than what you wear into the Academy with and what is on the packing list. While there, you will not have an opportunity to wear anything else but the NASS gear provided. Have a great time and hope all goes well!

The hair situation- plebe summer 2019

I can say for myself that I am going to just get the plebe chop. How I look at it is that I did not have a problem with cutting my hair when I applied, so I do not have one now. After weighing out the pros and cons list with cutting and keeping my hair, there were just too many cons on the side...

I heard that they have been sent out and will be arriving soon.

If a submitted a Summer Seminar application what do I do now? (USNA Application)

You will receive your Ecandidate packet letter most likely in May or June via email, giving you your log-in info for your application portal. It also contains some info on the application process. I recommend starting your application and looking through the different sections that need to be...

    Too Outdated to Use?

The post says that admissions will mail the TWEs by April 1st, ensuring all applicants will then have their letter in their mailbox before April 15th. That is how I interpreted the post.

    AP Physics 1 or C?

I am taking AP Physics C right now and am Honors Calculus. It is hard work, but the math was not the problem for me. Timing is what is very difficult. You are given a test every few weeks in a time slot that is not long enough to finish the test, unless you work for hours each night preparing...
