DS visits (to all his schools) got canned by COVID....played no bearing on his Appointments or acceptances to Civvie schools. He is safely tucked into Mother B with the class of '25.

also @mspeachintexas ----These all very normal experiences. Plebe year is hard, USNA is hard, adulting is hard. My DD, current freshman at civvie school has struggled just as her brother did when he was Plebe at USNA. Maybe different circumstances or types of struggle but struggle none the less...

All great advice so far and I as well work with USNA/USMA/USAFA graduates at a high tech industrial company. Their major did not play a role in hiring. They got hired because of their ability to graduate and commission into a military service and then completed their obligations. In general...

Thanks...must be my DS! Keep in mind plans can change. Last summer DS was supposed to do his cruise out of SD but then 2 days before departure his location was moved overseas! So things do change between now and then.

Does anyone know if the summer training plans have been released to the Brigade? DS is currently on MO for Spring break so he is generally out of touch. Just checking if he has not told us yet because he does not know or because he is too busy :)

I have a strict 2 cup minimum before engaging in anything...no emails, no posting, no texts, no meetings, no talk, etc. My family always waits to engage until that first shot is on board as I may appear to be slightly grumpy.
