DD committed to UNC this weekend!! We have always bleed Carolina Blue in our house so this is an exciting time for us. Go Heels!!!

She hasn't heard anything yet. Should be today at 5 she said. But I think she is ready to commit to UNC.

DD is also waiting for Princeton and a few others. TWE is tough to see after all the work they put into it but there is always next year if she wants to try again. Good luck.

Oh happy day oh happy day!!! My baby just got accepted to UNC!!!! Tarheels!!!! I am so happy for her.

At least she didn't see it before she went to school like my DD did. It was tough but she bounced back the next day. Now we wait to see where she will decide to go. Best of luck to your DD.

She said she would decide after she starts college. If she likes the college life at that school then no she will not reapply. We are totally leaving it up to her.

I have come to call it "the wrong email."

We had to go to another school and get a PE teacher do her CFA. Her school was no help at all. But she can honestly say she did everything on her own and did her best.

We had zero help with the USNA application. Nobody at her school had ever applied before so they didn't help.

She has a class at school just for applying to college. All seniors have to take this class. The teacher helps guide them so it took a load off of us at home.

Her school gave her 6 waivers and then we paid for the others. She couldn't decide which one she wanted more. So she has plenty of options now.

She bounced back the next day. She is preparing to shop for her dorm room now. She still has about 8 more schools she is waiting to hear back from. 3 have already accepted her so she won't decide until next week. So more waiting for me.

DD had the nomination but it just wasn't her time for an appointment. Gonna try again next go round.
