    NROTC Scholarship results?

Arrgghhh. Same news here. Frankly we are a bit surprised as we thought he had a very solid package. Sounds like DS wants to go the College Program route.

    NROTC Scholarship results?

Yesterday, my DS received an unsolicited update from his recruiter telling him his application was still be considered and that all decisions would be made by April 30. Presumably that means everyone will be notified by April 30.

    NROTC Scholarship results?

Feeling all your pain. DS has had his application completed since early January and there has been no update in several months. The "No decision has been made on your application." lives on. Regardless DS is moving forward with his #1 school (RPI) with or without the NROTC scholarship, but it...

    NROTC Scholarship results?

You actually don't need to log into the portal to check the NROTC status; you can view it with this link: https://netfocus.netc.navy.mil/nrotc/candidate_app/status_scholarship.aspx

    AFROTC Board Results

Feeling your pain / emotions. My DS received a 760 on his math and as a few minutes ago, no decision has been made. It's time!

    AFROTC Board Results

FWIW, there is a ROTC Consulting service out there. I have no affiliation with them, nor did we use them, so not sure how good they are. However, they claim there are 2 criteria that are most important in getting selected for a NROTC 4-year scholarship: 1) Pick a Tier 1 or Tier 2 major -AND- 2)...

    NROTC Boards

Do well school and in the NROTC unit. If he gets the Commanding Officer of the NROTC Units recommendation, then that goes a LONG way.

    NROTC Boards

Actually, it is quite common for non-scholarship students to join NROTC; it’s known as college program. If your DS/DD does well in school & in the unit, I dare say most get a 2 or 3 year scholarship & get commissioned!

    NROTC Boards

I would agree. You are occupying two spots and someone else is waiting for one of them. But, I am not sure what other options you will have.

    NROTC Boards

My DS got into his #1 choice which also has an NROTC Unit, so we don't have that dilemma. However, I feel you regarding the waiting game, as we also are waiting to hear on a scholarship award. Presumably you could put a deposit down on both schools, knowing you will lose one of them. That...

    NROTC from recent board??

This wait has been long, quite long. Given most college deposits are due on May 1, it would be really helpful to expedite this process. Certainly some will make decisions on which college they attend based on whether or not they get a scholarship.

    NROTC DODMERB Notification

    Nope ... no change here

    NROTC DODMERB Notification

Unfortunately no change in my DS’ status - at least on the portal. It’s been the same status for last 30 days or so. I guess the good news is that he is still in the game.
