33 ACT and 1530 SAT got me into USMA and USAFA in a competitive district. I originally got a 28 and 1320 but studied like crazy to improve which maybe they liked. Anything above 30 or 1400 proves you are academically qualified—in my opinion.

Does the Air Force Academy hold different tours for appointed candidates? I was recently appointed and I want to see the campus before I make a decision.

I received my appointment to the Air Force Academy this morning, however I still want to visit and I am waiting on my USMA decision. When should I try to make a decision by? I know the deadline is 5/1, but I want to leave plenty of time to get the necessary documents submitted and what not.

I got disqualified 1/15, waiver requested 2/5, waiver granted in less than 18 hours. Was so shocked because USMA started my waiver process 1/22 and I haven’t heard anything.

I have a medical DQ for a benign cyst. 3 days ago USMA placed me under waiver review. I started scheduling a surgery to remove the cyst once I got DQ’d. I can get the surgery within the next month and the recovery time is less than 2 weeks, so I would be healed long before the 4/15 deadline. I...
