IMHO unless they are picking you up anyway, there is really no reason for your parents to attend the closing ceremony. I did have to pick my son up by car so I did go but it was very anticlimactic. Just my opinion.

I haven't read every single post but to the OP, the swearing in ceremony was aired live on-line during my son's IDay swearing in. That may make your parents happy to know they can watch the special occasion. Good luck! GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY!

Those scores are fairly low. I recommend, as a mom who's son went thru this for 2021, you sign up for as many SAT and ACT testing sessions you can. You'll indicate you want your scores sent to all colleges/universities and SAs. The SAs will pick your best score from all the scores submitted...

My now Youngster was on the Board of his Republican Club (also super liberal hs) as well as another very obviously pro-military club and laid out his resume to reflect just that. Not a problem.
