Not all CGAS not all prepsters receive appointments- at least in my daughters class they didn’t- or if they did, many decided not to accept. Some decided to go to different SA also.

We always go Columbus Day weekend because it gives extra time. We often do not attend parents weekend and just go for when they have more free time on Columbus weekend.

And sometimes they are not able to participate in sports at their prep school. My daughter was not able to but was thankful for this because the school work was so much more than she was used to.

No - all travel during holidays/breaks are your cadets responsibility. When my daughter travels home the expense is usually greater than their monthly pay- so we have had to pay for her travel. They usually only come home for Christmas holiday break- we usually travel to her at Thanksgiving.
