  • Hi There,

Congratulations on your DS getting the AROTC. My DD is a junior and will apply coming fall. We are working in plan B now, may I know what state U that you talked about in your post has tuition covered after admitting to a honors program?

thank you and wish luck to your DS.

In the State of Georgia we have the Zell Miller Scholarship which pays $10,000 per year for students with a 3.7 in high school plus a decently high/middle ACT or sat

So most tuition is paid in the State of Georgia for anyone that gets in UGA or Tech. Then we have to pay room and board, which we think they gauge us on. Also, they gauge us on some fees. To the point where many can go out of state for not much more!

For very high achieving students, many states around us give full ride scholarship or give in-state tution, but they are particularly trying to buy students in that have super high ACT or SAT scores. States like Alabama, Mississippi. Not Auburn so much.
