Reapplying to West Point after being rejected

You can retake SAT/ACT to improve your score. Not sure on DodMERB - I believe you are right. If you can take math/science in college do it - and do well; show admissions you can handle college courses. Send college transcripts when available. Train for the CFA and improve your previous score -...

Reapplying to West Point after being rejected

Don't give up !! Excel at college and ROTC and re-apply. College, ROTC, not giving up, another year of maturity - it will all just improve your chances next round. Each class always has a number of cadets that are 1, 2, 3 years out of high school - via college, prep school, military, etc...

Under Waiver Review - CIV Team Referral or MTF for Required Medical AMI

Pursue any and all options - you can always cancel one at the last second if your preferred option comes up first. Referrals, pre-appointments, testing, results, follow-up appointments, etc....it can be a long time from start to finish unfortunately. Don't give up --- if things don't work out...

    Reapplying from ROTC

110% re-apply - if you get in 2nd time around (or even 3rd), you'll be ahead of the curve for sure when you arrive on R-Day! ROTC, college course work, a don't give up attitude -- all that helps you stand out even more compared to applicants coming straight from high school.

    Need help. Medical disqualification

So sorry - hang in there. Tough time for sure. Don't give up though --- Think about a civilian college and Army ROTC in the Fall of 2023 and re-appling for class of 2028 or even 2029. This gives you a chance to build up your entire application package -- you should be able to participate in...

How Many Times Did You Have to Apply Until Admitted?

Don't give up the ship if not accepted...go to college and do ROTC and re-apply. Many, many kids go this route....kids with a 1+ years of prep school, college, etc....have a leg up on others when they finally get to the SA. It's another year to work on being away from home, college academics...

    Waiver denied

sorry...though, don't give up! Go to college that has an Army ROTC program, which you can do the first year despite your denied waiver. Then, re-apply.....it's not the end, it's just another opportunity for you to explore. Lots and lots of applicants apply multiple times and eventually and...

NAPS or A&M Corp of Cadets

NAPS 100%! Most, if not all that come from an academy prep school will tell you that going to prep school before the academy is the best thing that could ever happen. You learn how to be in the military, how to study, adjust to being away from home, make lasting friendships. It's only one year...

    Scared of not getting in

Don't give up......go to college, do Army ROTC, and re-apply. If you don't get an appointment next cycle, do another year of college/ROTC....hang in there.....and Good Luck!

Recommendations for letter from treating surgeon in case of a DQ

Tough to know what helps with a waiver and what doesn't. Best to be proactive and gather up as much info from any doctor/specialist (military and/or civilian) that you can get giving their opinion that any prior medical issues shouldn't impact future training. Many will say civilian doctors...

    Medical DQ & Waiver Declined

Tough, tough situation you’re in. Sorry. Don’t know what appeal process there is and if you don’t have new info, it probably doesn’t matter. Advocate for yourself – and get as much other info, appointments, recommendations from any doctors, etc…. This all takes time which puts you at a...

Does AMI mean I’ll get DQ’d?

I'd say it's good sign they asked for more info vs no comms with you at all.

Leverage your B&G officer, mail, fax - do whatever you can. Best of luck --- based on other posts, it's a long process.

    AMI Timeline

It's out of your control now. Hurry up and wait. Could be days, could be 4-6 weeks, maybe more. No one really knows - especially with the site being down for so long, their backlog, etc. I'd set your expectations to 4-6+ weeks and then be pleasantly surprised if it happens sooner. Probably...
