    NROTC Scholarship Physical Exam?

the Marine Option scholarship candidates are required to do pullups (untimed), crunches, and 3 mile run. pullups are 5 pts a piece with a min of 3 and max of 20. crunches are 1pt per crunch, max being 100 (off the top of my head idk the min). the max time for run (ie to get 100pts) is 18:00 or...

    Usna, usma, arotc, nrotc-mo

I was in your (almost) exact shoes last year - applied to USNA (top choice), USMA, AROTC, NROTC-MO, and USCGA. Denied by USCGA and USNA, waitlisted at USMA, messed up paperwork so I was never even an official applicant for NROTC, and I received a 4yr full tuition for AROTC. The recruiting...

    College Courses

Not an expert but I would assume they'll understand a scheduling conflict, and you still have Physics and Calc, which are also recommended classes so that is in your favor.

    AROTC to USNA

I'm in the same boat as you, I was a USNA applicant a year ago, all three noms and no appointment, now enrolled in AROTC. I called the officer in charge of my region a few weeks after I was denied to fine out why, so I would recommend that for you as well. I started my application this year and...

BGO Interview not Submitted on CIS

Out of curiosity, where are you from? Your son's BGO sounds strangely like my Area Coordinator from last year.

    Army ROTC Physical Fitness Test

I don't have the answer you're looking for, but I wouldn't be too worried. I did about 45 pushups, 55 situps, and a 6:40 and ended up getting a scholarship. I think if your other things (ie leadership, grades, interview, etc) go well you shouldnt need to worry to much about the PFT

    Armor Officer?

Well I don't know the answer...my advise is to apply for both. Neither are guaranteed but if you manage to nab both an AROTC and an NROTC scholarship you at least get to choose and have more time to get informed.

    AROTC chances? Help much apreciated

Just an FYI, when you post GPA its typically out of 4. I'm assuming your 91 is out of 100 which puts you near a 3.6/3.7? Your stats seem relatively competitive for AROTC but it is VERY difficult to get into BC so make sure you have some good backup schools that you can definitely get into. The...

I'm torn b\w Airforce and Navy ROTC.

I feel like we just went through Lebron's "Decision." It's great that you've "chosen" the Air Force, but will they choose you? Why did you choose Air Force? You leave a lot of unanswered questions...

    ROTC vs SA Difference?

And I hate to burst YOUR bubble but Forbes not only ranked it #7 overall but #3 in teaching quality

I'm torn b\w Airforce and Navy ROTC.

you keep asking other people what branch would suit you best...we don't know you, you need to make that choice after looking into the two branches

Help! Trying to increase my push-up count?

Sorry, I was unclear. By "pushup standard" I meant how many do you have to do and in what time, not "what qualifies as a pushup."

Help! Trying to increase my push-up count?

I don't know about whether that would work or not, and take my advice with a grain of salt (I am also an incoming freshman) but I started doing the Armstrong Pullup Program. Part of the program, in addition to 5 days a week of pullups, is 3 max sets of pushups, typically done right when you wake...

    ROTC vs SA Difference?

It's funny you say this, during my MoC interview for USNA last year, they asked me, if I was accepted what would I want to do upon graduation? I replied Marine Ground and one of the members of the panel stopped the interview to shake my hand. Apparently I was the first person he had interviewed...

    Army ROTC

I would just do like you're doing and bring an unofficial transcript, but also a screenshot of your ACT/SAT scores just in case they haven't gotten them. And I predicted what I would get senior year, ie sports I would play, clubs i would be in, varsity letters received. Just make sure you follow...
