I'm so sorry. I don't have any information just wanted to give you my support. I hope it has been a learning experience for you son. Good luck to whatever he decides.

Just curious how injuries are handled regarding scholarships? We just had a scare with my son hurting his knee during soccer. He was so worried he hurt it bad and would need surgery and loose his scholarship. Luckily it just ended up being a sprain and he just has to take it easy for 2 weeks...

Well said! My DS was at cycle 1 NSI and only has positive to say about it. Yes it was hard but if it was easy everyone would do it right? I like the idea that it is weeding out the kids early that decide it is not for them. Why waste more of the Navy's $ or the kids time.

A friend of my son's enlisted in the Navy and is at the same base in IL. His first letter took 6 days to get to my son. So I'm hoping I'll get something by tomorrow.

My son is at nsi now. I've heard from some that got sent home for medical reasons that they took her moleskin they let you keep prescription meds only.

All great advise thank you. One piece of advise I heard on another video was try not making rotc your whole entire life or you might get burnt out before you even graduate!

I don't see any harm in getting some more knowledge before you go. I mean what about the NJROTC kids they already know a lot of the basic chain of command and general knowledge? I'm sure no matter how much they study they will find something to stump them on, lol.
