In my interview for a senatorial nomination, I said I had a JROTC nom, and the man told me not to expect to get the senatorial no because of that. I ended up getting the senatorial nom anyway...
Wow. I cannot believe the number of rejections today. I didn't think they would do them all in one. I didn't receive the email this morning, so I guess I have survived another week.
Many TWE's have gone out. I just heard of another today, someone with a complete application and nomination. Most people would rather not report it on the forums, I believe.
I don't know much about this topic, but all I can say is don't go signing any enlistment papers until you receive a TWE (rejection letter) from the service academy! You always have a chance until that letter comes.
Just a note.. My friend only got up to Pre-calculus, only took AP literature as his only AP, and played varsity sports only during freshman and sophomore year. He received an appointment in January.
I received a call from Menendez when he gave me his nominations. No letter. Bookers nominations went out from what I have heard, with no call or letter or even an email. It just showed up on the portal.
It is easier to understand if the term "scholastically qualified" is used, which is actually what the Admissions Board uses. Its not just academics, and they make that known by using the term scholastic.
