    Hi, and congrats on your appointment. Since you are the only person I've seen from MA to get an appointment to USNA or USAFA, I was hoping you could share which congressional district in MA you are in, and how you were notified of the appointment. My DS is waiting to hear from both academies. He has nomination from Congressman McGovern (District 2).

    Hi! we are district 3, congresswoman Lori Trahan. He also received a nomination from Senator Warren. The congresswoman and Senators office called my son directly to notify him of nominations, then about a week later , Congresswoman Trahan called him to notify of his appointment. The portal updated two days later with his appointment. Hang in there, this process can really wear on you, as I’m sure you already know!

    Also, I want to add that he received an LOA in September, so that’s why his appointment came so quick after receiving the nominations.

    Thank you for that information. My son did not get a nomination from Warren, and we are still waiting to hear from Markey. He did get nomination from McGovern, as I mentioned. He was told DURING his interview that they were giving him the nomination and it appeared in the portals about a week later. That was back in OCT. He does not have an LOA to either USAFA or USNA.
