    AROTC Freshman changing majors

Thank you for the Psychological Operations suggestion. Your suggestion on “STEMy as possible.”... Are all stem fields in higher demand for branching? Our friend, kinnem, above said there are plenty of Psych majors that are pilots... or no? what if you aren’t in a stem field?

    AROTC Freshman changing majors

Wow! That clarifies it well! Wise counsel, I’d say. Our son said his cadre/PMS instructed him, with regard to approving his change of major, that this was on the acceptable major list, (begs the question what is NOT acceptable) but they do not consider it STEM, because it is in the arts...

    AROTC Freshman changing majors

I see. The new branching system seems to be more transparent for both Leadership, and cadets. I wonder where then they would place him. I see no ‘theatrical engineering’ category! Thank you for the link above. Very helpful.

    AROTC Freshman changing majors

Our son received a three year AROTC scholarship, with a civil engineering major his freshman year. He is entering his sophomore year this coming Fall, and wants to change to a Theatrical engineering major. How will this affect his future commissioning in active mil, and choice of mos? He has a...

    Desirable Majors?

Thanks for that insight. I appreciate your clarification. Do you believe the same attraction from employers is true of AROTC grads as well?

    Desirable Majors?

AROTD DAD, Please forgive my ignorance, but I have a question regarding AROTC not caring what the major is. My DS has received a 3 year AROTC scholarship, majoring in civ. engineering. He received a TWE last May from USMA, (but is reapplying currently), but had 2 Noms, and a great GPA in HS...
