There’s a shoulder board ceremony on the Monday after Sea Trials and swab summer are completed. While it’s probably possible to witness, it’s not really geared towards a “public” event. Parents weekend will be the first big event and I’d especially encourage any 4/c Parents to make that weekend if able.
Haveaniceday thanks for the response. That’s more or less what I figured - it’s fairly analogous to careers - it’s more about what you make of the opportunities you are given. Some of my best assignments were ones I didn’t ask for or have grand expectations. Thanks for sharing your thoughts...
ProudMom7 - Thank you especially for the 2024 insights. That’s a class who’s academy experience has been presented with its own unique set of challenges and experiences. They’ve had to deal with, adapt and overcome more than most including things no class before or after has had to face. An...

FYSA - to all those following Swab Summer progress:
Golf and Hotel (Eagle Phase III) completed their Sea Trials today, prior to departure for Portland and Eagle in the morning. Word is no one dropped out and I’m told ADM Kelly has stated something to the effect of “…this year was off the...
Tenacity and continued growth will carry weight and tend to play well in this process. No outsiders can guarantee results, or prescribe a winning formula because in the end selection is not just about you in isolation… that said tenacity and continued growth have definitely served others well...
One more personal opinion from a parent of the class of 2025 for what it’s worth…. My DD received an LOA and that made it a no brainer, as EA was a requirement condition for accepting the assurance offer.
EA is s a critical decision, with significant risk and reward. Our Overly simplified...
