    NROTC MO 2nd board

I can tell you that my son got a 3 year offer in late May of 2021. Have a plan B, but Plan A might still work out! Good luck!!

In-Person vs Online for AROTC interview

No. Khakis and a polo or shirt and tie.

    AFROTC Orientation for parents

I went to my son’s AROTC orientation, and I found it valuable. It was at a different school, but it helped me learn more about the program and how it works and it was also nice to meet older cadets and talk to them.

    Graduation sash

Try contacting the local recruiting office. My son was in a similar position when he graduated, but they had already given out all of their sashes. They pretty much have to be ordered in advance. You might get lucky though!

    Confused about ROTC Scholarships

If it’s not important to you that he has an ROTC scholarship, then I guess you don’t have to put down any other schools. If this is truly the only school that he wants to go to, then that’s fine, but know that he’s not guaranteed a scholarship to begin with and he definitely is not guaranteed a...

Can Army pull 3-year ROTC scholarship before it begins?

He will have to pass DodMerb and get any medical issues cleared. They will do this freshman year. Tell him to begin the process ASAP. Other than that, keep grades up, show up for everything, and keep out of trouble!

    Army NG SMP + ROTC

My understanding is you can choose tuition or housing, but they won’t cover both. Altogether, I think that you should consider talking to the financial office at his school. They may be able to walk you through typical scenarios for ROTC kids at that school. Also, go to the office with your son...

    On campus scholarships for ROTC

My son is a sophomore in his first year of a 3 year scholarship awarded to him by the head of cadre at his school. He got the notice in May, right around high school graduation, and accepted immediately. He was about to enlist! His freshman year was considered a “probationary” year and then he...

    Request to visit Campus

While there is no requirement, it can be very beneficial. My child visited the campus and had the PMS interview in person. The interview was at the same school he wanted to attend. While he was not awarded a scholarship through the boards, the unit was given three scholarships to award to...

    Records Fiasco

My son is trying to clear Dodmerb. He just finished freshman year of college. We pulled his records to send in the medical records request for his adhd meds, which he stopped 5 years ago. He also took Prozac at 12 for a short period of time as it was suggested it could be helpful with some adhd...
