Keeping my fingers crossed in Michigan. I have an SAT score in the 1400s and 1-2 Bs in high-school. I guess minors tweaks academically but I'm not sure if I'm eligible for NAPs. I would be ecstatic if selected though!
Obviously I'm not saying this is the case, but if hypothetically I'm deemed "too qualified" for NAPs, would I just be given a TWE instead of a year to improve?
I had the impression the prep school was for those who were typically recruited athletes with lower test score/gpa based academic backgrounds. I am currently still CPR but have an above average SAT score for USNA. Would this deem me improper for the prep school?
No one made some prescriptive rule per say, it's a question of the fact that the title CLEARLY states that this conversation is intended for those who are CPR, and you have a parent bragging that their DS/DD has been admitted. Wrong audience.
By no means am I trashing another candidate, I just find it completely inappropriate and really quite insensitive that someone would sit talking about how their DS/DD was admitted into USNA in a thread INTENDED for those waiting who are CPR. That's bragging even if unintentional and rude.
How is bragging you've been admitted into USNA in a thread intended for people who are waiting to hear back from USNA not bragging? If you can't understand this thread isn't quite the right audience, I don't know what to tell you...
The thread's title clearly states "Waiters ....this thread is for you". You have a parent who is rubbing in the fact their child has been admitted into USNA and an ivy in a conversation clearly intended for people who are waiting to hear back from the Academy. If anything, that's far more...
What is foundation? Also I don't think I'm a recruited athlete so wouldn't I not be eligible for NAPS. I'm quite sure my SAT score/grades fall into the range don't qualify me to go to NAPS. Is NAPs also available for very qualified applicants to wait one year to attend USNA due to a lack of...
I fully intend on reapplying if I don't get in this time around because it's been my dream to serve my country and attend USNA. I haven't received a TWE yet and I'm just wondering if it's ridiculous to think I could be appointed at this point in the process. When do they typically respond if so...
