So far, my son got a Request and Authorization for TDY Travel of DOD Personnel, DD Form 1610. Still not sure about the airline ticket, should that follow in another email, or is he responsible for purchasing his own ticket? He is studying abroad and not due back in the USA until tomorrow...

I was under the impression that it was July 10 start date, but my son has not seen anything for travel yet. Also, he heard that Kings Bay is out again this year, that they will head to San Diego for sub week. How do they get travel plans/plane tickets, are they emailed or mailed/shipped to them?
