Hello, I am an MS3 in army rotc. I am interested in branching transpo and was wondering if anyone out there has experience or knowledge w this branch. My ideal assignment with transpo would be with maritime logistics.

Ya just stick with boots. You dont wanna be "that guy" in rotc. You would also be confused with prior enlisted cadets and would have some explaining to do as to why you have a brand new ach and the other cdts in ur class are still wearing a kevlar from Vietnam

When dealing with Army and AF ROTC, it is best to talk to the recruiting officer AT the university. Limit talk with active/national guard recruiters because they will most likely try to tie enlistment into your plan, and from experience, don't know all that much about ROTC...

Cant determine your chances but PFA isn't very competitive. GPA and test scores looking good though. See if u can update those scores by the next board and your chances will increase.

Can anyone give some info about Active Guard Commissioning for AROTC. How competitive is it as a component, how competitive is it to get desired MOS, and should I contact Guard recruiters or figure the path out through cadre. Im on a national scholarship, currently an MS2. Thanks

The scholarship/contracting would only be affected if u fail it your first two times from when your scholarship is supposed to be activated.
