Alan, I just wanted to let you know, we heard back from the Regional Commander today. Paul will not be getting an appointment. 2nd on MA06 slate, middle of the pack on the 2 senatorial slates... All 3 slates closed... Paul's WCS is not at a level usually reached for selection of the NWL... Paul took it well... he said "I am glad I tried my best". Thank you for reaching out... DS sent coach a letter of introduction email last night... coincidently it was exactly one year ago to the day, that he my DS emailed him, thanking him for meeting with him during a competition at west point last year. I heard about 200 or so are going out this week... fingers cross..

Sorry, I lost how to navigate back to this conversation, we have toyed with the idea of contacting the gymnastics coach, my DS in not division 1 level. Perhaps they have an intermural team. My DS will email a letter of introduction to him tonight, not sure if it is too late or will help but it can't hurt. That is quite a resume...My DS 19/302 class rank 4.2 weighted GPA...SAT were average 640V 690M not sure the writing. Boys State, Eagle scout, At Brownsie leadership camp voted to SR patrol leader by the entire camp, Gymnastic capt of boys team, should be competing level 10, but due to ankle injury(s), he is still competing level 9. our school does not have men gymnastics so no varsity letter... NHS, AP Word History, AP Calc, AP Chem etc. BB 59', max sit, crunches, and pullups, 8 sec shuttle, and 6:40 mile. He is well rounded but not standing out in any one category... Reserves and Rotc back up route. If we do not heard in the next couple of days, I think he is out of consideration.

Thanks for replying... we have heard nothing... It is like jumping off a skyscraper and saying so far so good... so far so good... trying to prepare him/ us for the impact at the bottom. Your DS picked up the pieces and ran with it... a good example for my DS when the ride stops... Thanks again for the reply... I will keep you posted if Appointed... best of luck...

Congratulations on the Appointment... My DS got also got a nom from MA-06... we learned there was a candidate that was at MMI that would most likely get the slot, I believe this is your DS...persistence and hard work pays off. Our DS has noms from both Senators for WP and AF nom from MA-06, but have heard nothing... waiting is brutal...BTW we are from Beverly...

It is a good thing we are planning now. I think it will be even crazier when more BFE's are sent out.

Just booked Hampton Inn-Newburgh (20 minutes away) for A Day.
