My son was a shining star Freshman year. He didn't get the national scholarship but when he arrived on campus he volunteered for and joined EVERYTHING. He also had a 4.0 his first semester in engineering, so I'm not sure how much that contributed. The detachment offered him a 3 1/2 year...
Right. However I read that some schools, i.e. Boston University, will help out the first year and then make up the difference for the remaining three. Just wondering what other schools do that.
Which schools will pay the difference between the in-state rate and the out-of-state rate for the AFROTC Type 7 scholarship winners? I know many of them will pay/help with on-campus housing, however I am looking for the schools that will help out with tuition.
I was thinking more along the lines of the award-winners per state, not where they choose to attend college. So will candidates from states with few applicants have a higher chance of earning a scholarship than the states with hundreds of applicants?
Is the state of residence a consideration when evaluating whether a candidate will receive a scholarship? In other words, is there a certain amount of scholarships designated for each state?
