    AROTC Fitness test at college

We read somewhere that the ROTC Scholarship have to do a 2 min push-up, 2 min sit-up and 2 mile to keep your scholarship and then we also seen the ACFT is standard for ROTC.

    AROTC Fitness test at college

For this upcoming year does students at college in AROTC have to pass the ACFT or the APFT?

Do you love your ROTC program?

My son chose Norwich for AROTC, but University of Dayton was the number 1 ranked AROTC in Ohio for 2022. We toured the campus and met with them and they are a great group. That's pretty close to Cedarville if your boy wants to stay in that area.

    DODMERB inhaler prescription

We were in the same situation. You will more than likely need a waiver with a full pulmonologist exam. Have your Family doctor write a letter to include in your AMI Waiver paperwork explaining the situation.

    Looking for Some Advice

We went through the same ordeal with a asthma waiver through AROTC and did every test that they offered including Spirometry, Methacholine, treadmill heart rate test and a test where you do a spirometer while in a pressure regulated chamber. We figured give them all the data possible.

    What else do I send?

We had to do most of our tests for an Asthma waiver twice, once for West Point and a second time for AROTC Scholarship. The folks at DODMETS were always very responsive to our questions, so I would email them and tell them what you have turned in and ask what they have sent to the Waiver Authority.

    What else do I send?

Did you send all the test results and notes in with your original DODMETS application or is this your second round of AMI’s?

    AROTC Waiver thoughts

We were in the same boat. Our first AMI was for West Point back in December and when our son didn’t get into West Point he won the AROTC scholarship and had to do a whole other set of AMI’s for it. Our first medical exam was in October so it’s a long journey. Good luck and I hope you hear soon.

    AROTC Waiver thoughts

Last week we got ahold of our AROTC detachment and they have someone that handles all medical related problems with that college. They emailed the Waiver Authority and we got an update that they were actively working on our case. We were originally told the wait was 6-8 weeks from AMI turn in...
