I would take it again and try to improve the composite, the stress in the application process is an all around candidate so it would only make sense to bring well rounded test scores as well.

Excellent book and even more amazing man, he will be missed.

What you are doing is great, stay interested and find out as much as you can but no need for direct action yet!
