It's a shame that USNA does not allow melding of gold from ANY Class with a current Classes gold fro their new ring. I am Class of 1965 and after i'm gone would love for my ring's gold become part of a bond with future Grads. Go Navy! Beat Army!

This is so true. More of time as a Junior Officer was involved in writing technical reports, personnel performance evaluations, reports of training and financial matters, than technical diagnosis or instruction. Truth be told, many recent grads of SAs and/or ROTC were ill prepared.
