USCGA does not evaluate the writing portion. Do not send scores until the application is open; they are unnecessary until your son applies his senior year. Lastly, they do use superscoring, so use that to your best advantage! Good luck!

I would say standardized tests are weighed more because GPA can be undependable due to grade inflation.

I don’t think so. From what I’ve heard at a few admission briefs, a majority of applicants will be interviewed. The point of the interview is to get a better view of an applicant’s character and to further communicate why they want to attend CGA.
