I thought the boards met Monday and Tuesday? Is that correct?

Are 4 degrees/cadets in general allowed to go to away games? Two students from my high school will be firsties at west point next year...the army game is away and it would be awesome to see them again if I can, especially since they've been mentoring me throughout high school.

I have a slightly off-topic question: I want to be an orthopedic surgeon. I understand that going to the AFA, then med school, then residency, then perhaps a fellowship, will obligate me to serve a minimum of 13 years in the AF. This is my dream, and I have no problems with the time...

I'm going to jump in right here and say that I seriously doubt your background will prevent you from receiving an appointment, nor will it affect your success in the Air Force. I know quite a few people enlisted in the Army and Navy, and officers in the Air Force and Army, that have backgrounds...

What about USAFA? Is the process the same to go to med school from USAFA? Also, is there a higher demand for healthcare professionals in the air force or army?

Don't worry--my status page was updated about three weeks after I got my nomination letter in the mail. Just be patient! (: Our status pages also say final decisions will not be released til March/April--I think you would only receive an appointment before then if you've already received an LOA.

Once we get a nomination for a district, is it guaranteed that there will be an appointment offered to at least one person in that district?

Is it possible for someone to go to USAFA, go to med school (on a scholarship) and get an MD, and then come back to the AF as a healthcare professional? If the longest post-grad program is three years, I don't understand how that would work because I was under the impression that it took at...

Has he already completed his application? The other applicans that I know have received phone calls have their apps completed, and im wondering if they call applicants that have yet to complete their files.
