as far as attrition goes this year at The Citadel my battalion (3rd) has accounted for the majority of the attrition of the corps... same as last year. but really, things are not that bad, you just have to keep everything in perspective:)

I am about 1.5 hours north of Yosemite National Park (District 13). No, I have not heard from either of them, but I did hear they had a record number of applicants.

Well, I am from CA, but I know for my Congressional Nomination I did not have an interview. I had to send in a resume, transcripts, and if I remember correctly, a few essays. And yes, I did receive a nomination:)

Scoutpilot, I think that the Army is disorganized because people are continually sent to the wrong bases for training/ shipments of equipment are mysteriously "lost", etc. I have nothing against the Army, incidents like I mentioned above happen whenever there are large groups of people moving...

That's great! I went for a prospective cadet tour and got to sit with the diving team- they seemed to be really happy and great people! (NOT saying that the other cadets aren't).

if you are a male you could maybe improve in pull ups, push ups, and crunches... but no one can say how good you are doing... it would also depend on whether or not you are an athlete, because i have heard that they rely more heavily on the CFA scores if you are not an athlete. i can tell you...
