Our MOC called My DD directly and let her know she was his Principal nominee the day after she received her letter that advised she had received a nomination from him.

Thank you and what’s funny is my whole family is military except me so I am used to the acronyms but even they were unsure of what those stood for. Oh well!

My DD received the principal nomination from her MOC and was notified of this on 12/24 by a phone call from him. Her portal wasn’t updated until 1/10 reflecting the nomination and she just received her official appointment offer on Wednesday 1/30! So hopefully you’ll hear soon and before March...

my daughter just got an appointment to the AF academy Wednesday and I wanted to update the appointment thread but I have no idea what DD or DS stands for. I’m sorry! Will someone please explain? Thank you!

Texas- Portal was FINALLY updated this morning for my daughters congressman nomination! (We had found out on Dec 22 by letter, then phone call on Dec 24th she received principal nom). My daughter didn’t receive email of update just went in and checked this morning on her own.

I know in Texas Congressmam Will Hurds will post to the academy this Friday before 5pm they said and Senator Cruz had already notified people in the middle of December if they received a nomination.

Wow sorry to hear that. My daughter has never even gotten a call and yeah, it’s been months since she’s heard anything from her. So disappointing and aggravating. My daughters first and only choice is USAFA so we’re not dealing with any other ALO’s but Glad you’re having a better experience elsewhere!

That’s awesome! Congrats to her! Hopefully the process will go as quickly and smoothly for my daughter after the holidays. Since we never hear from her ALO these forums are all we really have to go on.

What district in Texas were you nominated in? My daughter was also nominated by her congressman via letter she received on 12/22 then a phone call on 12/24. The portal hasn’t been updated yet but I’m assuming it’s because everyone is on Christmas break.
