Oh hey! This is good info for prospectives and their parents as well. What about astigmatism? My future cadet is 20/20, but wears glasses for astigmatism because he likes to see the world more sharply. Is astigmatism allowed?
I actually think this guy (Kirkland) is solid. We purchased his ROTC book last spring and my son used his advice to obtain an AROTC scholarship during the first round. My son used the CFA calculator to determine when he was consistently scoring well on the CFA. He has now been admitted to 2/3...
This is exactly what he is worried about. He's been online since last March and worries that they haven't covered the ground necessary to test where he wants to test. Thanks for the resource suggestions.
Sometime in the last several days I recall seeing a conversation about preparing/reviewing for the math placement exams at Beast and available resources. It was not the original topic of the thread if memory serves. I've tried the search function, but am only coming up with general conversations...
Winner, winner, chicken dinner! My son received a 4-year to each of his top 3 schools, too! And yes, he had had been 'Boarded' status since earlier in the week.
This is a tough year to test for sure. My son had five tests cancelled between March and July. He has since taken five. I have taken him out of state twice and we had to go to other parts of the state for the other three. The out of state testings have involved hotel stays. After giving up on...
My son was checking his portal every 30 minutes and his changed between 4:30-5:00 PM EST yesterday. Totally makes sense that there is still work to do this morning.
Encourage her to retest. Our son jumped 130 points with 6 weeks of prep on Khan Academy (which is the official prep of SAT). I asked him if he thought he got 130 points smarter, and he affirmed that he just got 130 points better at taking the SAT. Good luck to her and to all of these great kids!
We've looked all over the website and can't seem to find the answer. Does USCGA superscore the ACT (or SAT) or should he submit in the best individual test date only?
My son is waiting, too. Check out the SAT Reddit threads. A good chunk of the country is still waiting. There is supposed to be another batch release this afternoon. If you still don't get scores, it could be a good thing. Sometimes you've made a big score jump and they just want to make...
My son's are not showing in his USMA portal either, though his ACT scores (taken two weeks later) are there. We had his SAT scores sent to AROTC at the same time as USMA and those were posted to his file immediately.
