This sounds very odd to me. I didn't think they would hold out on you like that. I think I've been told that you should accept such an offer and you can cancel later if you get in to the academy (inform the ROTC people as soon as you hear). Don't worry about taking somebody else's scholarship as...
Not sure what question you're reading but he asked about his AP exam scores, not number of AP courses.
The answer to the question is still not much.
That being said, is there any reason not to do your best on those tests?
If you don't get into the academy you can get a good amount of...
Just don't raise expectations too high based on that. Last year I was 3qd with 2 noms, in an incredibly competitive district, and was not offered an appointment. Not trying to be rude or anything, I'm just saying... best of luck to you though!
I found out about NASS through my BGO as well (I'm currently applying for 2014, still waiting to hear.) I remember filling out all the papers except for the payment for USAFA SS because I could only go to one (for money and other reasons) and the AFA SS deadline for acceptance was before I would...
Ok so just reading this I am beginning to worry a little. I am 3Q'd with 2 nominations, but my CFA, while passing, was not exceptional. Now that it is March 1st, I believe it is too late for me to retake it. How much of a difference will this make?
Orwell,
I was just assuming you were the primary nominee because Sensenbrenner's press release named all the alternate noms but not the primary ones for all the service academies and when I spoke with the other alternate nominee for USNA a couple of weeks ago he was still waiting to hear...
Hi Orwell, I am assuming that you recieved Congressman Sensenbrenner's primary nomination. I have one of the two competitive alternate nominations to USNA that he awarded this year (according to his press release), as well as one from Senator Kohl. I have not recieved an appointment, however...
Nope, I took the ACT once in like 2008. I'm thinking about retaking the CFA but as of yet I have not updated anything since my application was completed, so I'm not sure why the second letter. Maybe my application was reviewed again for some other reason?
They should get your scores, it just takes a while. The fact that you are female doesn't make any difference. Make sure both scores are at least 600, preferably higher than that. Keep up the good work in school.
