Something that we were told that worked out for us: Carry a small folder (you can get them the size of a legal envelope) that you can carry in your hand (or pocket) with copies of your available paperwork. Include bank info, direct deposit forms, medical forms, eye forms, social security card...

We first stayed at the Ramada Inn "up the mountain" for R Day. A 30-40 mind drive to WP. :eek: Too far away for us. Then we stayed at the Econo Lodge outside of WP for both A Day and Parent-Plebe Weekend and we were very satisfied. An older, but clean motel, has internet and very friendly...

They will get a mailbox that is theirs alone for CBT and for the 4 years at WP. They will also get a land line phone with their own number (after school starts) that is theirs as well. Also............there always Facebook!! :shake: After school starts....of course!!

You will get your new mailing address (and other pertinent info) and parking pass mailed to you in the weeks before R-Day. You still need to make sure everyone in the car over 16 has ID and be prerapred to pop the trunk. You wil have everything you need to get on base. Good Luck!! Stacey

Thats all my son wore..........a lifesaver. They work very well, but you sill need compression shorts occasionally. Thats why he took extra. As for mail..........it depends how ofter your cadre can get you to the mailbox. It depends on what going on....

Sorry for the confusion.........I did mean underwear as well. His preference was for boxer briefs not tidy whities.............he put them in a ziploc bag and took them when he switched his stuff over to his army bag.....

I had to ckeck with my DS on this one. He said.......if they don't see what you wear, its not an issue. Chafing is a MAJOR problem during Beast and tidy whities do nothing to help. Compression shorts rule .......he took 5 pair and blacked out the logo.:cool: I hope this helps.
